PACKING LIST

The $400 registration fee includes all food and cooking supplies, camping in tents for two nights, canoes and related equipment except sleeping bags, and personal items (clothing, toiletries, etc.).

The deposit of $100 per person is required to hold a space in the canoe until all 14 spaces are reserved. If 14 people have not reserved by September 1, 2026, the deposit will be refunded and the program cancelled.

Registrations of participants cancelling between 2025 and 2026 will be refunded if the registrant cancels and there are openings on the “wait list”.

  • Paddlers are welcome to purchase and bring wine, beer, or spirits on the trip. No alcohol will be provided by Rotary. Please keep quantities small due to limited space in the canoes. Tetra packs and cans are preferred.
  • For safety reasons, alcohol may only be consumed after the completion of the day’s paddling.
  • The use of illicit drugs is prohibited.
  • Canoes will have snacks and bottles of water available to refill personal water bottles.
  • Smoking and vaping are discouraged during the trip and fire risk at travel time may preclude open flames.
  • Toilets and showers may be available but limited during the day.
  • Cell phone use and photography should be limited during the day. The program leader will always have a cell phone available for use in case of emergency. To maintain the natural setting during the day, we ask that technology use be restricted to use in tents or while on shore. When your time is spent taking pictures, you may miss the beauty and action that is all around you. Two digital cameras will be provided for use while traveling in the canoes.
  • Although we expect all participants of this program to be comfortable on and in the water, we do require everyone to wear a personal flotation device when in the canoes.
  • Life jackets, paddles and all camping equipment will be provided by the program. Those who wish to provide their own equipment are encouraged to bring it along for personal use.
